Obligatory energy audit for companies

The German Law concerning energy services (EDL-G) obliges all companies which cannot be categorized as small and medium-sized businesses (SMB, in German: KMU) to realise an energy audit according to the norm DIN EN 16247-1, for the first time not later than on December 5th, 2015, and afterwards at least every four years. This law is based on the new Energy Efficiency Directive of the EU which has the aim of an energy efficiency increase of 20% until the year 2020 inside the European Union.
